Ledger Enterprise Solutions Announces New Head of U.S. Sales

Joel Edgerton joins Ledger as part of its strategic plan for continued growth in the U.S.

Hiring Joel Edgerton accentuates Ledger Enterprise Solution's mission to provide industry-leading solutions to institutional clients in North America. The team expects institutional investors to continue growing rapidly throughout the rest of the year and has already experienced a 60% increase in customer count since early 2021. The amount of digital assets protected by Ledger Enterprise Solutions has increased more than 10 times since January 2021 with more enterprise customers looking to partner with a reliable custody solution.

In June 2021, Ledger completed a $380 million Series C round, led by 10T Holdings, valuing the company at more than $1.5 billion. With a goal of strengthening its position as the leading secure institutional gateway to digital assets, Ledger Enterprise Solutions is dedicated to unlocking the power of the digital asset ecosystem by building DeFi, staking, and NFT capabilities. Ledger Enterprise Solutions plans to hire 25 more key roles in the U.S. through 2021 and into 2022.

Joel Edgerton joins Ledger Enterprise Solutions as Head of Sales Americas, where he will be responsible for overseeing clients' strategic growth in the United States, Canada, and Latin America. Joel previously served as COO and Board of Directors of bitFlyer, where he helped increase their presence in the United States. He has over 17 years of experience in traditional finance and insurance through State Street, Citigroup, and BNP Paribas. Joel has led global teams of more than 290 staff in 43 countries, and brings his global strategic vision to the Ledger Enterprise Solutions team.
